Refund policy
- Introduction
Welcome to Modern Office! We are dedicated to providing you with high-quality office furniture and excellent customer service. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we want to make the return and refund process as straightforward as possible. Please read this policy carefully to understand how it works.
- Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- The return request is made within 7 days of receiving the product.
- The product is in its original condition, including all accessories, packaging, and labels.
- The product is unused, undamaged, unassembled and free from signs of wear or installation. We do not accept returns on items which customers have assembled themselves. We are not responsible for damages that occur during customers' own assembly.
- Returns will not be accepted on products that are custom made. This includes all locally manufactured furniture which was specifically ordered/manufactured for a client.
- How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
3.1. Contact Us: Send an email to sales@modernoffice.co.za with the following information:
- Your order number
- A brief description of why you want to return the product
- Clear photos of the product, if applicable
3.2. Approval: We will review your request and respond within 3 business days to approve or deny your return.
3.3. Return Shipping: If your return is approved, we will provide you with a return shipping label or with instructions on how to return the product.
- Return Shipping Costs
You are responsible for the cost of returning the product unless the return is due to our error, a defective product, or damage during shipping. In such cases, we will cover the return shipping costs.
- Refund Process
5.1. Inspection: Once we receive the returned product, we will inspect it to ensure it meets the return eligibility criteria.
5.2. Refund: If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund within 10 business days to your original payment method. Please note, a 10% handling fee will be charged on all returned items. Delivery Charges & Shipping Insurance are not refundable.
